San Antonio Travel Co needed a billboard to promote tourism to San Antonio, Texas, with a focus on showcasing the city’s historic missions. The goal was to create a design that would catch the attention of commuters while educating them about lesser-known cultural landmarks beyond the Alamo.

The billboard needed to feature one of San Antonio’s missions, but not the widely recognized Alamo, in order to spotlight the broader historical offerings of the city. The layout also had to be bold and easy to read at a distance and while in motion.
